Solent Dolphin was granted The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2015.
The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is the highest honour given to volunteer groups across the UK to recognise and reward excellence in voluntary activities through work done in their own communities.
The Award was announced in 2002 as part of celebrations for The Queen's Golden Jubilee. It is the MBE for volunteer groups.
The Award recognises groups whose work has significantly benefitted others, improving the quality of life and opportunity and sets the national benchmark for excellence in volunteering.
