HYTHE MARINA - Free boat trips for disabled people.

  • What a delightful sailing trip the children, parents and staff had on the Alison MacGregor.  They arrived back here full of excitement and enthusiasm about the experience.  Jake said that it the best thing he’s done since he’s been coming to Naomi House, quite a compliment when you know how many other special activities he’s participated in”

  • “Thank you very much on behalf of the club members who enjoyed the trip you arranged for them on the “Alison MacGregor”.  It was a topic of conversation for many days afterwards amongst those who took part, chatting about the interesting things they saw”

  • “We were blessed with wonderful fine weather. However it wasn’t the weather that made the trip so memorable, but the excellent work by your volunteer crew.  We were greeted in a most friendly manner, and were immediately assisted in every possible way to bring our party, including wheelchairs, aboard”

  • “The crew were friendly, efficient, cheerful and helpful at all times.  Every effort was made to make us comfortable, from the provision of extra blankets, and hot cups of tea”

  • “Thank you for being very friendly and for the biscuits and drinks”

  • “A huge thank you to all those involved in making it such an enjoyable trip on the Alison MacGregor. I don’t think anyone wanted it to end, despite rain on and off, and I know everyone is keen to do it again next year.  Please let the crew know how much we enjoyed ourselves – they should be very proud that they support such a great charity”

  • “My mother who is a resident at a residential care home enjoyed a trip on the MV Alison MacGregor.   Good luck in all that you do – I know you made one old lady very cheerful for an afternoon”

  • “Thank you very much for the lovely day out on your boat Alison MacGregor. The residents thoroughly enjoyed it, and talked about it for a long time afterwards.  It was great to see their faces during the trip -  they loved the tea and biscuits as they sailed”

  • “Please pass on our thanks to the crew they were a delight, and looked after us with love, care and attention.  One lady on board, although initially cold, has always been frightened of the sea, but she said that she was very happy on the vessel and was beautifully warm tucked up the with the ship’s blankets”
